El Celler de Can Roca restaurant

El Celler de Can Roca is one of the best restaurants in Catalonia, defined by the Rocas’s brothers, as a familiar restaurant. They belong to the third generation of a family that started dedicating themselves to restoration in 1929.
Their granparents opened an Inn in Sant Marti de Llemana in 1929,
their parents, later on, inaugurated in Girona El restaurante de Can Roca in 1967, and later on, in 1986 the Rocas’s brothers decided to open El Celler de Can Roca just next their parent’s restaurant, place in which, since then, they offer traditional catalonian food.
Josep Roca is in charge of the wine list and salon itself, Joan is in charge of the kitchen and Jordi is in charge of the dessert menu. El Celler de Can Roca, has obtained several awards by the most renowned gastronomy bodies in Spain, which led them to merit the second Michelin star.
It is true that all those awards help El Celler to attract people, but for the Rocas’s brothers, the biggest satisfaction is the recognition of their parents and clients for their passion and effort in their service.
